The Garden Club of Kent's Community Beautification Awards celebrate great home gardening. The program honors good stewardship of the land and recognizes aesthetics, creativity and maintenance as well as sound environmental practices. Winners are announced at the November monthly members' dinner meeting.

Community Beautification Awards are made in the following categories:
Residential Gardens
Three categories:
Front Yard, Side Yard, Back Yard
Wildlife Habitat Gardens
Home Vegetable Gardens
Youth Gardens
For gardeners up to age 17 who are gardening with minimal adult help
Best Overall
Gardens that include flowers, food and herbs and are pollinator-friendly

The Garden Club of Kent accepts entries and nominations until Sept. 1.
You can nominate your own home garden or nominate someone else's. Multiple entries are accepted, but only one per award category, please.
